ACCESSibility statement

1. Our Commitment
The Jetly Cricket Academy Limited ("Jetly Cricket Academy", "we", "us" or "our") wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including parents, guardians and young cricketers with visual, motor, cognitive or hearing differences.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. This statement explains what we have built to support that, and what we are still working on.


2. Who This Is For
Our audience includes young cricketers aged 7 to 25 and their parents or guardians, many of whom are over forty. We have designed with both in mind — a fourteen-year-old on a phone, and a parent reading carefully on a laptop.


3. What We Have Built In
3.1 Colour and contrast
Every text and background colour combination used on this site has been checked against the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast standard before being approved for use.

  • Body copy uses Charcoal Green on Warm Cream, a contrast ratio of 12.2:1 — well above the minimum required for any text size.

  • Buttons and links use white text on Deep Berry, at 5.1:1 contrast. This colour was introduced specifically because our original brand pink failed the standard for buttons and body text.

  • Colours that only pass at large text sizes, such as Berry Pink and Deep Sage, are restricted to headings of 28px and above, and never used for body copy or buttons.

  • Decorative colours that do not pass the standard, such as Pastel Pink and Pastel Green, are used only as backgrounds and fills, never as text colour.

3.2 Typography

  • Body copy is set no smaller than 16px on mobile.

  • Line height is set around 1.6, and line length is kept between roughly 60 and 75 characters, so text stays easy to track and read.

  • Headings use sentence case rather than all capitals, which is easier to read and better supported by screen readers.


3.3 Navigation and interaction

  • The site is built to be navigable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus state shown in Deep Berry.

  • Every page uses one H1 heading, and headings follow a logical order rather than skipping levels for visual styling.

  • Tap targets, such as buttons and menu links, are at least 48px with 8px of space between them, so they are easy to select accurately on a touchscreen.

  • The site does not rely on hover-only interactions, which do not work on a touchscreen or for keyboard users.

3.4 Images and forms

  • Every image includes alt text describing what is happening in the photo, rather than generic branding text.

  • Forms show validation messages next to the relevant field as you go, rather than as a single block of errors after submitting.

  • Form fields are labelled clearly, and use appropriate input types — for example, a number pad for a phone number — to reduce typing and errors.


4. What We Are Still Working On
This site has been designed to the standards above, but has not yet been through a full, independent accessibility audit — including full screen reader testing and a complete keyboard-only pass across every page. We intend to carry this out and will update this statement once it has been done.

6. Changes to This Statement
